About Me

Hello, and welcome to A Nourished Life! I am Christine, a middle aged, muddle-headed and menopausal woman, prone to periods of lucidity. Married to my best friend Dave, we love living in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. I also have three grown sons.

Having a nourished life involves more than the food you put into your body. It also involves what goes into your soul: joy, laughter, contentment, self acceptance and happiness, to name a few things. Here you will get glimpses of what goes into a nourished life; sometimes a healthy recipe, and then other times, it will be things to nourish the soul. If you like what you see in my blog, you can subscribe by clicking on the link at the right hand side of the page; then you will receive an email whenever there is a new post. A couple of my most popular ones are The Positively No Negativity Challenge,  How I met my Husband, and The Stigma of it All, my story about going grey in a dyed world.

I am  originally from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, a fact that I am proud of and I love going back to my hometown whenever I get the chance.

If you would like to contact me my email is christinefaour@gmail.com

I would love to hear from you!

Thank you for your blog. I just discovered it and am looking forward to reading future posts. I wanted to share this with you. In 2011 my husband and I visited Newfoundland for 2 months with an RV caravan group. We fell in love with the province and the wonderful people who live there. Visiting Corner Brook was one of the highlights of our visit. At the end of our 2 months, we were very reluctant to leave and understood when we were told by one of our new friends that those born in Newfoundland may leave the island in their lifetime, but they will always return home again and again. We want to return also. We will never forget that magical place.

  3. I just came across your blog today for the first time. Lucky you being in Coldbrook now with the nice weather you have been having. We lived in Centreville for 17 years. (I also spent my first 20 years there). In January we moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec so are getting to know the Eastern Townships. It’s a nice area, but the valley will always be home. It does put us closer to our children in Ontario. I hope you are finding new areas to explore all the time.

  4. Chris I am so pleased I stumbled across your blog tonight, and you kindly sent me the link to this one. I love it, you writing style is so easy to read, and you have made me laugh on more than one occasion. Always an asset in a writer I think. I look forward to getting to know you more on my t-comm journey. You are precious, keep blogging. Love Suzi

    Hi Chrissie,
You left me a very kind message on my message board at Transformation.com and invited me to read a little about your journey as well. Thank you so very much. It has been a difficult journey and I do hold all the confidence in the world that my world will get better. Just when I think the grieving is over, it comes upon me in waves that swallows me up in the current and I sob uncontrollably. But those moments come less now and do not last as long.

I am well on my way to creating a life I am excited and proud of. My T-com family has been amazing over these past few weeks I have been there. I am growing now exponentially. Thanks for reaching out. Light and love to you.
